Spruce up your vehicle with car graphics

Car graphics, also known as decals, are essentially car stickers which can be applied to the bodywork of a car in order to change its appearance. While they can be applied purely for aesthetic reasons, they can also be used to provide information about the purpose of a vehicle, or as a form of advertising. They come in all shapes and sizes, from small decorative features to designs which cover the entire vehicle.

As a general rule, car graphics are made out of vinyl, which doesn't fade or fall to bits in the rain, and can be taken off without removing any paintwork. You can make car graphics yourself simply by purchasing thin sheets of adhesive vinyl, cutting them into the required shape, and applying them to the vehicle. Done properly, this can look really rather good, but it does require a certain amount of skill and planning.

If you are not particularly good with a craft knife, then you have a few other options. The first of these is to buy pre-designed graphics from a specialist retailer. There are a whole host of firms that offer professionally designed decals for sale over the web, and if you are just looking to spruce up the appearance of your vehicle, this can be a good way to go. Before buying, though, it is a good idea to check that the design will go well with the colour scheme of your car. If you discover that the colours jar, or that the design is not particularly visible after you have stuck it to your vehicle, it is highly unlikely that you will be able to get your money back.

Another popular approach is to get a professional graphic design firm to make custom car graphics for you. This approach is particularly popular with businesses who want their vehicles to double as moving billboards, and is a very cost effective form of advertising. The best way to make the most of the available advertising space on a vehicle is to apply a vehicle wrap, which is essentially a decal that covers the whole body of the vehicle, including the side windows.

It is important to note that even if you are using a vehicle purely as an advertising billboard, you will still need to get it insured. The best car insurance deals can be found online, with insurers such as Kwik Fit Insurance offering 20% discount to customers who get one of their
car insurance quotes online.
